Nike and LeBron James believe in the power of sport to move the world forward. Both strive to break down barriers, inspire action and bring people together. The EQUALITY initiative is centered on using the power of sport to inspire people and take action.
For LeBron, Equality means that no matter your race, no matter your background, no matter who you are, we all have the power to stand up and speak for something.
With that goal in mind, LeBron boldly wore the “Equality” Edition of his 15th signature shoe to inspire everyone to engage in the conversation.
Now, to continue that effort, Nike and LeBron proudly announce the limited release of the LeBron 15 “EQUALITY” edition. In the spirt of that message, LeBron wanted every person to have an equal opportunity to participate in getting a pair of the shoes. As a result, the shoes will not be sold as part of this release. Instead, 400 pairs (200 black and 200 white) will be available in the United States through an online drawing – to support and celebrate the commitment to inclusion. Consumers can enter with unlimited $10 per-entry donations or can enter once per shoe size for free. Winners will be randomly selected for either a black or a white pair and are encouraged to find a winner of the alternate color to trade with in order to make a mismatched pair just like LeBron. All donations from the drawing go directly to supporting the programming of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.
If you ask me, it does seem like the Jordan brand is somehow dropping heat releases one after another. A way to catch up with adidas brand’s soaring sales with their BOOST line. This series of colored toe varieties on the Jordan 1 Retro OG silhouette, the plan seems to be working very well for the brand. The Nike and Jordan brand are at full speed ahead this year. This month we welcome yet another colorway of the J 1s. This upcoming Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG dubbed as the Bred Toe seems like a mash up of the old Black Toe colorway. This will be a definitely good release as the ever wanted classic Chicago Bulls color scheme never loses it’s hype in the sneaker community. One thing noticeable with this release is the tumble leather on the highlighted toe box for the fresh look. This material was introduced in the toe-box with the very popular Shattered Backboard 1s as well.

This pair is donned in the classic Chicago colors, a White and Black leather upper with a distinct suede material used on the heel, swoosh and ankle straps. This is the shoe that Michael Jordan the G.O.A.T. wore during his break-out 1988 season, when he earned his first league MVP and took flight from the free-throw line.
